Snow Day

Before heading on a vacation to Florida, what is the best way to celebrate?  How about a snow day!  A huge storm passed through most of the U.S. and we were not left out this time.  It snowed for two days and we decided to take advantage.

Garrett is my little dare devil who helped me create a jump from our lawn and into the road to continue our sledding fun.

Emily absolutely loves the snow and wants to do everything her brothers do.  Every once in a while we have to step in just to make sure she stays safe.

We were very nervous that the snow would stop our airplane from taking off the next day but somehow the snowstorm only brought us the fun of sledding and didn't stop our Florida plans.

Papa comes to Town

As I explained, Connor asked Papa to come visit for his birthday.  Here is the welcome Papa received when he arrived.  Lots of hugs and kisses.

Papa always wants to make sure he does exactly what Connor thinks would be fun.  Connor didn't even hesitate that he wanted us all to go sledding.  So off we went with our sleds.

Somehow we managed to time it just perfectly.  When we got to the hill, it was completely empty.  So the five of us threw ourselves down the hill with many attempts at going as fast as we could towards some mega jumps at the bottom.

I was about to go down the hill with Garrett when I turned and saw this...I think this will be my favorite picture of the year by far.  Just so you know, Garrett and I beat them down the hill.

It was such a fun time and we definitely had many laughs at our own expense.  Thank you for visiting Papa and making the weekend so much fun.

Connor's 8th Birthday

Connor was so excited that the big day had finally arrived.  I believe he started anticipating his birthday the day after New Years Eve.  

Instead of a birthday cake, Connor wanted to make his own "Hamburger Cupcakes."  So we set out to accomplish this goal and he was thrilled with the tasty results.

Our happy little family - can we just take a moment and thank our lucky stars for all of our good fortune.  A loving family who is healthy and happy.  It is a wonderful life.

Two of my favorite men - Look at Connor catching up to Papa in height.  Connor asked if Papa would come for his birthday...no matter rain, sleet or snow there was no way Papa would ever let Connor down.

A singing card which was voicing the opinion of the birthday cake made everyone laugh.

Connor had a game today with his team the Trailblazers.  Connor was definitely in his element today and managed to score 8 out of the total team 16 points.  He had two great lay ups and nothing could stop him.  

Connor we are just so happy that you love to get out there and have fun.  Keep up the fun!

A Smile to Remember

Since Grandma stayed for Connor's birthday weekend, Grandma took the kids to go sledding with all their friends on Friday afternoon.  They had so much fun that they didn't want it to end so they went over to the Ching's house for dinner.

There are random moments everyday where I wish I had my camera.  I was lucky enough to catch this moment and it makes me smile every time I see it.  Just look at that happy smile on Connor's face.

Blast From the Past

Grandma is amazing because she managed to save my very first dance recital costume and it is in pristine condition.  When Grandma brought it to show Emily, Emily was just so excited to get a costume.

Seriously, could you get any cuter?  Emily I am so happy you love to dance and love all your daily performances.  

Sunday Fun

On a random Sunday, we met up with some friends to play football at Memorial field.  Thanks to Emily for all the pictures from the sidelines and the dancing and music entertainment between plays.  As always our boys played hard and gave it their all.
