Proud Moment

We forget that it can be tough to be the little brother.  I took the kids to Connor's baseball tryouts for summer baseball and Garrett was just hanging out with me watching.  One of the coaches running the clinic asked Garrett to go play.  He was very hesitant but after a few minutes of thinking he jumped in with the kids at least two years older. So proud of his confidence.  There he is catching fly balls and to say he proved his skills is an understatement.  Way to be confident G!

Sciatica has a Bright Side

Mid March Grandma was stricken by a very painful case of Sciatica.  I already know I am going to be in trouble writing about it but I am just going to have to risk it.   Only Grandma could take care of my kids for a whole week and not complain about the excruciating pain. Unfortunately the pain got worse which sidelined Grandma for a week in Long Island.  A big thanks to Nana who came to fill the void.  Of course, Grandma and Papa didn't want to let us down anymore so they ventured back the next week for Papa daycare time.  

 

They all survived and were left with a case of the sillies at the end of the week. These are their mean faces.

Grandma has a long road to recovery but hopefully she will feel better soon.  

Trailblazers Basketball Season

The NBA season this year was fun to watch as Connor and Jackson were the leaders of their team.  So we were excited for March Madness to begin.  The Trailblazers came to play with lots of excitement.

The game was close after a big comeback by the Trailblazers but unfortunately, the comeback came up a little short.  The opposing team did advance all the way to the finals and won the league.  So you lost a close game to the best team - you should be proud.  

It was a great season of lots of improvement and fun. Congrats team Trailblazer!

Orange Belt

Due to having strep throat again, Connor's test was delayed a week but Connor was ready for it.  Connor kicked his way to an orange belt.  Go C!

We also visited the doctor last week for his annual physical and found out he is 52 inches tall and growing like a weed.  We are so proud of our young man.

Basketball Success

Garrett completed another season of basketball as a prized point guard who has speed, dribbling skills and great defense.

Garrett earned that medal.  

First Day of Gymnastics

Emily had her first day of gymnastics today and did fantastic.  A little hesitation at first but then jumped right into action.  After stretching, they worked on special jumps on the trampoline.  Then hand stands, balance beam and cartwheels.  It was a blast to watch.

Emily really enjoys gymnastics and can't wait to keep going.  I love that you are so excited and your smile and wave through the viewing window lights up my Saturday mornings.
