Emily's First day of Preschool

Emily was very ready to go and excited to meet her teachers.

Off to the playground we went to meet all her new friends and hen it was time to see her classroom. It didn't take long for Emily to find her favorite part of the classroom - the dress up area and kitchen.

Emily was so excited to see all the aspects of her classroom and ran over to Mrs Daugherty as soon as she opened a book.

Emily we are so proud of you for being such a big girl and can't wait to see everything you learn this year.

Garrett's First Day of kindergarten

Garrett was so excited for his first day that he wasn't very happy he had to wait until the afternoon. The school only has half day kindergarten and Garrett is in the  afternoon session. He was ready to go at noon.

I am thrilled to say Garrett had a fantastic first day and can't wait to get back to his classroom. We are so proud of you.  I also want to include the picture below which sums up the bond between brother and sister.  

Second Grade Here I Come!

Connor is off to second grade today.  He is so excited to be going back to school and ran off this morning as soon as he was dropped off.

New Jersey

Before the school year begins, we took advantage of the long weekend and went on a little road trip.  First stop, a trip down memory lane.  We stopped off and stayed the night at Hotel Heritage where we stayed when Brian and I got married.  The kids definitely enjoyed our stay because we managed to play pool, go swimming in the pool, play squash, have fun in the arcade room and enjoy all the accommodations the hotel had to offer.  Brian and I took our wedding portrait on these steps and I couldn't help but capture the boys in the same spot.  

We found out a small kids amusement park was located just fifteen minutes away so we decided to stop and have some fun.  Emily your brothers will do anything for you...they rode the boats because you asked them to.

Thank goodness Garrett didn't decide to hunt down Connor.

After being spun and shaken on many rides, we headed to our final destination - NJ.  The Bunetas were waiting for our arrival and we were so excited to be there.  Their new house has a fantastic heated pool and we basically spent the weekend swimming the days away.  Garrett and Connor were diving board experts by the end of the trip.

The Bunetas threw a Labor Day bash and all the Fishkill boys showed up.  The funniest part of the day was when Emily decided that Uncle Kevin was going to be her target.  She locked and loaded her water gun and went right after him.  

Uncle Kevin was dressed (not in a bathing suit) and ended the afternoon wetter than anyone in the pool.  Thank you for being such a great sport.

These kids would love if they could hang out every day.  Thank you for an amazing trip and for making us feel right at home.

Mommy Day Care

While Grandma was away representing our family at Sharon's wedding in Northern Ireland, Mommy was trying to perform double duty of working and caring for the kids.  One of the days I decided to venture into the office, where each kid brought a backpack of work and fun.   

It only took about thirty minutes to cause chaos in the office but it was greeted with smiles and laughter.  They talked and entertained my co-workers and it was fun to have them in the office for the day.  Thanks kiddos for being so helpful.  I love you!

Long Island

My co-worker Chris is getting married this weekend in Long Island so we took the whole family and headed off to the event.  Since it was a beautiful day, we decided to take the ferry.  The kids love being able to get out of the car, eat and run around.  Don't they look so happy and cute.

We took in the sights and watched boats whiz by.

In Long Island, the main attraction is always Papa.  The kids ran Papa around all day and all night.

My friends were so sweet.  Since Brian and I were at the wedding all day Saturday, Jen had us over for Sunday brunch.  They grilled up delicious food and all the kids were in great spirits.  Look at all these rugrats.

We managed to fit a lot of adventure into two days - friends and family and co-workers is what life is all about.  We are so lucky to be surrounded by such amazing people.

Fishkill

Since the Fishkill crew didn't join us in Aruba, we thought we would head over to see them upon our return.   As always, Grandpa and Nana just want the kids to have fun so we headed off to the mini-golf course and batting cages.  Of course, Connor was in heaven.  The picture of the frog below sums Garrett up perfectly.  After golfing, he spotted some ponds with many frogs sitting on the edges.  He was fascinated and we took close to 30 pictures of frogs.  He didn't want to leave them and would have sat there all day watching.

Our true reason for the visit was to check up on Aunt Ellen.  Aunt Ellen had surgery which was a success but now it was time for her to start chemo.  During her chemotherapy treatments, we won't be able to visit since we carry so many germs.  So, we tried to bring the cheer and lots of hugs and kisses for Aunt Ellen.  We know Aunt Ellen will pull through but it is hard to think we can't visit.  We love you and stay strong Aunt Ellen!
