Blast From the Past

Grandma is amazing because she managed to save my very first dance recital costume and it is in pristine condition.  When Grandma brought it to show Emily, Emily was just so excited to get a costume.

Seriously, could you get any cuter?  Emily I am so happy you love to dance and love all your daily performances.  

Sunday Fun

On a random Sunday, we met up with some friends to play football at Memorial field.  Thanks to Emily for all the pictures from the sidelines and the dancing and music entertainment between plays.  As always our boys played hard and gave it their all.  

An Emily Update

Emily has completed her first half of preschool already and is a very active young lady.  Emily is doing great at her dance class where she is learning a ballet and tap dance for her recital.  As a special treat, Emily was able to try on her costume early and is so excited to show it off.  Look at how grown up our little lady is becoming.  

At the end of January, I went to Emily's parent teacher conference where I was told what an outstanding student and friend Emily had become.  Her favorite activity is art and has really excelled at taking pride in her work.  Below are some of the picture murals the school puts together.  Emily is prominent in many of the pictures. 

The teachers informed me that Emily loves to play with all the boys and girls.  She shares and is very verbal and capable in every aspect.  

Most importantly they told us she is so happy exploring each and every day.

Along with school, Emily has also started going to her friends birthday parties.  Recently she went to this dance birthday party for Maeve where they got all dressed up and had a ball.

I think it is just hard to believe our little girl is growing up so fast and we are so proud of her.  Go Em!

Watch Out

Connor and Garrett take pitching/baseball lessons from Brandon who is a minor league pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks.  During the last five minutes of each session, Emily would grab her girl power bat and helmet and head in for some batting practice.  

Not only does Emily make contact but her coordination is remarkable.  She had an entire softball clinic cheering her on and Emily loved the attention.  

Friends and Fun

Today, the boys went off to Adam's birthday party and I thought you would like to just have a picture of you and your buddies hanging out.  

After the party, we went over to Owen H's house for a fun filled night.  Dinner was delicious and it was so fun having everyone together.

Ladies Day Out

There are some major benefits to having Grandma snowed in for the weekend.  We had a lovely ladies day of lunch and shopping.

  

Lesson learned - never give Emily options when buying shoes.  We spent an hour in Nordstrom in the show department but thank goodness for the kind lady helping us. Thanks for a great day Grandma.  

Daddy's Day

Daddy's birthday always creeps up on us fast because January 3rd is always when we head back to work and are finally getting over the New Year festivities.  As usual, the kids did not disappoint and they made daddy feel very special.  

They made him some homemade cupcakes, cards, pictures and of course enough hugs and kisses to get him through until next year.
